Approximately 29% of people who receive health insurance coverage through the Medicaid expansion either have a mental disorder (e.g. schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety) or a substance use disorder (SUD) such as alcoholism or opioid addiction, or both.
